Frequently Asked Questions
I am tight as a board. Can I still do yoga?
YES!!!! You will gain flexibility with continued practice, which is one of the many reasons yoga is so good for you.
I am overweight. Can I still do yoga? You bet! This class is a perfect, way to get started.
What do I wear?
Pretty much whatever you would workout in.
Do I have to go barefoot?
Shoes are not worn in yoga, but if you are not comfortable in bare feet, there are special yoga socks you can purchase at the studio that will prevent slipping. Regular socks are not recommended as slipping in some poses may occur.
Do I need a yoga mat?
Nope. We have them. But if you are going to stick with yoga we recommend getting your own. We sell them at the studio.
Should I bring water?
We recommend bringing water. In a slower paced class like this it is not usually needed, but better to have it, just in case.
Can I eat before I do yoga? Eat at least TWO HOURS before class. If you can't eat your meal at least two hours before class, a light snack (snack bar, etc.) to hold you over 30 - 60 minutes before class is okay, just not a full meal. We move in all sorts of directions, so it just makes it more comfortable and enjoyable not to do it on a full stomach.
